KW S2024-03-25NBS real experience The NBS staff are extremely helpful, very responsive in email for my enquiry and adjust to customer needs. When I was experiencing ad hoc emergency (I got injured during skiing accidentally) they advised me the best solution and provided me the necessary information accordingly so was very helpful to me. Good experience all a long.
Mee S2024-03-17Pace was about right for beginners (first time) - On time at meeting point. We booked 3-hours Snowboard private lesson AM - Instructor Bjorn was super kind and so patient with our skills. He communicated in a slow pace to make sure we followed - Started with basics for first time (no board/other similar activities experience) e.g. how to put on the board & adjust gear, how to skate & break at mini slope - Walked up a bit to train at the less crowded area. Learned how to stand, balance, and ride both heel edge/toe edge. It was hard for us to make it balance to slow down or control the board. Bjorn showed and explained how to do it before let we tried, he helped riding along with us and instructed what was wrong with current position or what could be better. - Even at the end of class, we still needed Instructor to hold hands but the day after when we practiced by ourselves, it turned out that we can do it and made next 3 days snowboard experience so fun! We had a great time and confirmed we made the right decision to have a private lesson for our first time snowboarding.
Johnny C2024-03-17Great Instructors Makes All the Difference Traveled with our 9 year old and a 13 year old daughters. It’s our first return to the slopes since 2019 Youngest started day 1 not recalling how to put on skis but by day 3 with instructor Hiro and Ellie H. Both were skiing green slopes with confidence and enthusiasm. Thank you for building confidence with our kids. I too benefited from 5 days of skiing with Hiro. Great trip. Equipment rental and return were simple. March skiing is awesome with much more manageable crowds and more runs per day! Definitely coming back to find Hiro and Ellie next seasons.
Sue M2024-03-07Snowboarding lessons with David NBS were great for lessons. It was easy to book and our instructor was waiting for us to arrive. We had a private lesson with David, who was great. He checked our technique and then gave us advanced tips and tricks to make the most of the lesson. Thanks for a great lesson, David. We appreciated your time and expertise.
Lea Hollis2024-03-02Highly recommended! I rented all my ski gear from NBS. very efficient and good value, helpful staff. I highly recommend Kamila as ski instructor. She is very patient and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to ski again in December!

TWrenAC2024-02-24Ask for Tom D from Cornwall!!! Tom D from Cornwall is hands down THE BEST!!! I had zero knowledge how to ski on day 1. Not only did I have zero coordination skills, I also did not know how to put my ski boots into the skis, could not balance at all even on flat grounds, and was so scared going up any hills. We originally scheduled 2 full days of ski classes with Tom, but thought he was so amazing that we scheduled a 3rd full day with him. By the 3rd day, we were going up gondolas and is considered level 4 (out of level 8)! Tom is super patient and kind, encouraging in a way that makes you feel confident (and not a fake nice). He is also extremely clear with instructions and will pivot using different kinds of metaphors / examples to help you better understand. I cannot recommend him enough!!
Tiffany C2024-02-24Thomas is a great instructor! Private lessons - Thomas (Tom) is amazing! He was our ski instructor for 3 full days 6 hours private ski lessons (2 people). We came to class clueless and very uncoordinated and left as a Level 4. Really appreciate Tom’s patience and encouragement. He catered the lessons to each of our abilities and helped us build up confidence throughout the day. He’s great with analogies to help us understand what to work on! Best time and money spent. Super easy to book online and the NBS staff/consultants (Katie & Fabiana) are very responsive. Ski rentals - super easy to book and retrieve. No pick up/drop off service. Offers free ski lockers for multi-day ski rentals (some walking involved but it’s next door to the rentals). Great for students taking NBS lessons. Offers small lockers (500 yen) and large lockers (1000 yen). Right next to AYA and the family lift. Great location!
Voyager281070672142024-02-22Andy is the instructor you NEED. Came to the slopes for snowboarding struggling despite having some basics, so decided to take up a 2-hour private lesson. Andy was the instructor i needed. We started off discussing what and how i was taught as we made our way up the family slope, then he reinforced & corrected my understanding, giving me a better picture of SB. Down the slopes initially, he gave me a hand hold support as he guided and followed me through the manoeuvres, which i thought was very helpful. Eventually by the end of the 2-hour lesson, i was able to confidently tackle the green slopes and even switch between heel & toe side on flatter slopes. With 17 seasons of instructing SB & skiing under his belt, Andy really made my money worth it. Highly recommended for anyone who wishes to start off with good understanding of SB or skiing. 👍🏼
